Kaizer Chiefs have suffered yet another long-term injury ahead of the 2024/25 DStv Premiership season. The club announced on Sunday that Edmilson Dove has joined their growing injury list.
The setback occurred during Friday’s session at Amakhosi’s pre-season training camp in Türkiye.
The Mozambican international was examined by the medical team in camp. Subsequently, it was decided that he would leave Türkiye and head back to South Africa for a full assessment and medical attention.

“We wish him, and the rest of the injured fellows a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them back on the training grounds and field of play soon,” read a statement from the Chiefs.
Edmilson Dove’s injury adds to the woes of Kaizer Chiefs, who are already grappling with a series of injuries. The defender joins Mduduzi Mdantsane, Tebogo Potsane, Dillan Solomons, and George Matlou on the injury list. Notably, this quartet did not travel with the squad to Türkiye due to their respective injuries.
As the 2024/25 DStv Premiership season approaches, Kaizer Chiefs will need to navigate these challenges and hope for a speedy recovery for all their injured players.
