Defender Njabulo Ngcobo acknowledges that his time at Kaizer Chiefs has not gone exactly as he had hoped. However, the talented centerback has no regrets about joining the club.

Ngcobo, who was named the DStv Premiership Defender of the Season during his impressive campaign with Moroka Swallows, joined Chiefs before the 2021–2022 season.

Despite the challenges, Ngcobo sees playing for a big team like Kaizer Chiefs as an opportunity for continuous learning.

He understands that it takes time to adapt and improve step by step. Ngcobo remains optimistic, stating, “I will be able to return to the player I was when I played for Swallows.”

As the DStv Premiership resumes after the break for the Africa Cup of Nations, Ngcobo reveals that Chiefs are working hard to improve their performance. Currently in sixth place with 24 points from 16 league matches, Chiefs are determined to overcome their trophy drought of eight seasons. Their next match is against TS Galaxy at Polokwane’s Peter Mokaba Stadium on February 13 (7.30pm).

With a positive mindset and the support of his team, Ngcobo is focused on learning, growing, and making a significant impact for Kaizer Chiefs.
