Louis Liebenberg, the millionaire diamond dealer, has thrown his hat into the political ring, aiming to secure a seat in Parliament as an independent candidate. With the 2024 National and Provincial Elections just around the corner, Liebenberg’s campaign promises to be a fascinating addition to the political landscape.
During a press briefing on Friday, Liebenberg made headlines by levelling serious allegations against President Cyril Ramaphosa. According to Liebenberg, Ramaphosa orchestrated a plot against AmaZulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini.

The alleged scheme involved drugging the king and photographing him while naked. The motive behind this purported conspiracy remains unclear, but Liebenberg’s accusations have raised eyebrows across the nation.
Liebenberg claims that Ramaphosa warned King Misuzulu not to attend the soccer World Cup due to safety concerns. “They said, ‘Listen, don’t go there. You are in a fragile situation with your wife, and your brother wants to kill you. There’s a lot of KwaZulu Natal killings. So don’t go to the soccer World Cup,’” Liebenberg recounted.
Instead, Ramaphosa allegedly booked the king into a Johannesburg hotel and set him up on drugs. The subsequent photographs of the naked king have left many questioning the president’s intentions.
Liebenberg also revealed that he stepped in to assist King Misuzulu when the Premier of KwaZulu Natal refused to issue his salary.
