A 16-year-old foreign national is currently in police custody in Limpopo, South Africa, following the alleged rape of a three-year-old boy in Sasekani village.
The incident occurred on Monday around 3 p.m., as reported by Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
According to Ledwaba, the victim had gone to play in a neighbour’s yard and later returned home, informing his grandmother that a 16-year-old male, who is a friend of his brother, had raped him. The grandmother then approached the father of the accused teenager to investigate the matter.

The police were immediately notified, and the victim was taken to the hospital for a medical examination. The suspect was apprehended on Tuesday morning, May 14, 2024, in Sasekani village.
A probation officer will compile an assessment report regarding the accused teenager for court proceedings
