The congregants of the United Congregational Church of Southern Africa in the North West region experienced a traumatic incident on the eve of the Easter weekend.
During a service on Thursday evening, a group of five armed men stormed into the church and robbed the worshippers of their possessions in Jourberton, outside Klerksdorp.
The gunmen, after entering the church, ordered the congregants to lie down and proceeded to search them. They took away their money, handbags, and cellphones, leaving the worshippers in a state of shock and fear.

Outrage and Call for Justice
Pastor Lesiba Kgwele, the convenor of the Moral Regeneration Movement Provincial Interim Committee, expressed his outrage at the incident, describing it as barbaric. He emphasized the importance of bringing the perpetrators to justice to ensure the safety of the community.
Pastor Kgwele further called upon the community to assist the police, who have launched a manhunt to apprehend the robbers. He stressed the need for a strong partnership between the police and the community to tackle the issue of gangsterism in Matlosana and restore confidence in the criminal justice system.
