Three-Year-Old Ayanda Sibiya Disappears from Family Yard In KZN

A desperate search is underway for three-year-old Ayanda Sibiya, affectionately known as Andy, who went missing from his family’s home on Umavalana Crescent in Ulundi, KwaZulu-Natal, on Thursday morning, 15 May 2025.

According to his family, the toddler was playing in the yard around 7:00 AM while his mother tended to her newborn baby inside the house. At the same time, his two grandmothers were busy washing clothes. Sometime during that period, Ayanda vanished.

Authorities have not confirmed whether kidnapping is suspected at this stage.

SAPS Search Ayanda Sibiya and Rescue Joins the Effort

The South African Police Service (SAPS) Search & Rescue Unit conducted a thorough sweep of the area, but Ayanda could not be located. The search is ongoing, and the community is being asked to stay alert and report any information.

At the time of his disappearance, Ayanda was wearing:

• Maroon pants
• A blue and yellow Nike jacket
• Black shoes

His sudden disappearance has left his family and community shaken, and fears for his safety are growing with every passing hour.
