Fighting game enthusiasts are in for a treat this year with the release of Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, and Guilty Gear Strive.
The beat ’em up frenzy is going to continue at least until early 2024, as Bandai Namco confirmed at Gamescom 2023 that Tekken 8 will be released on January 26th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders are now available.

The tenth instalment in the long-running franchise features 32 distinct warriors (King, mercifully, is among them).
According to the latest trailer, the game heralds the start of “a new Tekken saga,” while the series’ long-running adversary Heihachi Mishima is no longer alive.
Arcade Quest, a new single-player option in Tekken 8, will also be included. You’ll make a character who appears to be able to go to a virtual arcade and compete in Tekken tournaments. It all seems quite meta.
