After a frightening incident during the Nedbank Cup last-16 win against Hungry Lions, doctors have given Makhehlene Makhaula the green light to resume training.
The Orlando Pirates midfielder collapsed on the pitch, complaining of chest pains and shortness of breath, and was immediately replaced by Thalente Mbatha.

The club released a statement confirming Makhaula’s condition and the medical steps taken to ensure his well-being.
He was treated by the club’s medical team and promptly transferred to Milpark Hospital for further assessment. After thorough investigations and consultation with a specialist, Makhaula has been discharged and is scheduled to return to training on Wednesday.
Makhaula expressed his gratitude for the support he received and assured fans that he is feeling 100% and ready to rejoin his teammates. However, he will be given a few days to rest before resuming full training.

The coach and the team doctor will monitor his progress and advise on his return to the team.
