Swallows has announced the signing of Bongani Sam from Orlando Pirates with the deal eventually confirmed as a loan deal despite some initial confusion around the moving talks.
According to leading SABC Sports journalist Mazola Molefe, 28-year-old playmaker Tebogo Tlolane is set to be loaned out again, this time to Maritzburg United, where he spent time in 2020.

During the January transfer window, Pirates confirmed the signing of highly regarded Cameroonian striker Souaibou Marou, and it was always going to be interesting to see what else the Buccaneers did.
Another significant development is that AmaZulu captain Makhehleni Makhaula has agreed to personal terms on a pre-contract with Pirates and will join them immediately.
With no clear indications from AmaZulu in terms of discussing an improved contract, it was suggested that Pirates swooped in to secure the somewhat unexpected signing of the 33-year-old midfielder.
Another reporter, Mazola Molefe also hinted that AmaZulu would consider immediately releasing Makhaula to Pirates, though “subject to a fee,” despite the fact that the experienced playmaker is currently recovering from an injury.
Club president Sandile Zungu praised the experienced midfielder’s professionalism since joining Usuthu two and a half years ago in a statement.
