A week after the controversy surrounding his alleged “drinking on duty” incident, Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune has finally broken his social media silence. The veteran soccer star, who was suspended indefinitely, took to Instagram to share a message of hope.
In his first post since the news of his suspension, Itumeleng Khune reposted a message of encouragement from his pastor friend. The post read, “It is a season, and God is with you.” Khune reacted to the message by adding, “Amen to that.”
Not only has Khune found solace in these words, but his wife, Sphelele, has also been sharing messages of motivation on her Instagram Stories.
One particular affirmation of faith caught the attention of many. It said, “My entire world could be in chaos, but I still smile because I hold on to God’s promises.”
