Itumeleng Khune’s Tavern Tales: A ‘Drunken’ Goalkeeper’s Misadventures Playout (Watch)

At the time of the video, Khune was supposedly recovering from a shoulder injury that had ruled him out of play. Naturally, Kaizer Chiefs fans were left scratching their heads, wondering how their captain could be drunk during his recovery period.

An old video of Itumeleng Khune highly intoxicated in a local tavern has resurfaced, adding fuel to the fire of misconduct claims against the Kaizer Chiefs captain. The footage, which dates back to 2019, shows the soccer star in a less-than-stellar state during a night out with his friends.

Last week, the 36-year-old goalkeeper was suspended amidst allegations of drinking on duty. Reports suggest that he will face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday, 28 November. It seems like Khune’s tavern tales are catching up with him.
