Siv Ngesi Raises Doubts About SAPS In AKA And Tibz Murder Case “Timing Too Convenient”

South African actor and comedian, Sivuyile “Siv” Ngesi, is not convinced by the recent developments in the Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane murder case.

The South African Police Services (SAPS) announced that they had arrested seven suspects linked to the killings of the two media personalities. However, Siv Ngesi seems to question the credibility of the police in this matter.

The tragic incident occurred on 10 February 2023, when award-winning rapper AKA and celebrity chef Tibz were shot and killed outside Wish Restaurant in Durban.

Over a year later, on 27 February, the SAPS revealed that six suspects were apprehended in connection with the alleged hit, with the seventh suspect being arrested the following day.

While two of the suspects were arrested in Eswatini and are awaiting extradition, the remaining five appeared in court in Durban. They face multiple charges, including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.

During the court appearance, Siv Ngesi took to social media to express his scepticism, asking his followers if they suddenly trusted the SAPS. He also questioned the timing of the announcement, suggesting that it may be politically motivated due to the upcoming general elections.

Siv’s doubts reflect the sentiment of many South Africans who have grown weary of the police’s ability to solve high-profile cases.
