During the 10th-anniversary gala dinner of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Johannesburg, Julius Malema, the party’s leader, delivered a forceful speech, cautioning those who may conspire against him.
With a smile on his face, Malema emphasized that he is not one to be taken lightly when faced with opposition, as he is ruthless in his retaliation.

Addressing his deputy, Floyd Shivambu, Malema acknowledged their relationship as “brothers in arms” and praised Shivambu’s intellect, dedication to writing, and consultation skills.
He further commended Shivambu’s faith in God. However, Malema explicitly warned Shivambu against conspiring in the shadows, as he asserted his ability to uncover such machinations.
In a gesture, Malema stressed that he and Shivambu complement each other and are not in competition. He urged Shivambu that if he ever feels it is time for Malema to step down, he should openly communicate it, and Malema would willingly step down from his position without resistance.
The EFF leader drew a line, indicating that the real problem would arise if Shivambu were to organize against him secretly. He vowed to be relentless in dealing with anyone attempting such acts, highlighting his track record of never losing a conference or supporting a candidate who suffered defeat.
