Supporters of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) remain steadfast in their belief that party president Julius Malema will fulfil his promises if elected to power in the 2024 general elections.
The Red Berets launched their 2024 elections manifesto in Durban on Saturday, with Malema addressing key issues such as land, jobs, infrastructure, and the ongoing water and electricity crisis.
While Malema had previously stated that his manifesto would consist of commitments rather than promises, his speech on Saturday was filled with assurances.
Some loyal EFF supporters, like Vuyo Sibeko, expressed confidence in Malema’s ability to deliver. Sibeko highlighted Malema’s plans to create more jobs and return land to the people, as well as his commitment to ending the detrimental effects of load shedding.
Sibeko emphasised the importance of the EFF’s call for the expropriation of land without compensation and its focus on addressing unemployment. He noted that through farming, the party aims to generate numerous sustainable jobs. This approach resonated with Sibeko and others who believe in the party’s ability to create meaningful change.
Furthermore, many EFF supporters have pledged to vote for the party in the upcoming polls, demonstrating their dedication to the cause. The EFF’s unwavering stance on key issues, along with Malema’s promises, has solidified their support and encouraged them to actively participate in the democratic process.
As the EFF continues to advocate for economic freedom and social justice, its supporters remain hopeful that their party will bring about the necessary reforms to improve the lives of ordinary citizens. With the 2024 general elections on the horizon, the EFF’s message has resonated with many, inspiring them to stand behind Malema and his vision for a better South Africa.
