The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have expressed their approval of Woolworths’ recent decision to remove Israeli products from its shelves.

“Following this engagement, Woolworths has resolved to cease the sale of the sole product they traded in, which was imported from Israel, proving once again that the EFF remains committed to the cause of the Palestinian people,” the statement read.
The party viewed the removal of Israeli products as an act of solidarity with the Palestinian people. “The EFF reaffirms its call for global solidarity with Palestine, which should include sanctions and the severing of all economic, diplomatic, research, and innovation ties with the apartheid Israeli State,” the EFF stated.
