David Mabuza who is the deputy president of ANC has alleged that Pravin Gordhan and Eskom board misled President Cyril Ramaphosa when they told him there will not be any load shedding before January 13 2020.

This follows an assurance by President Cyril Ramaphosa that there will not be load shedding throughout the festive period, meanwhile, the country has been slammed with stages of the blackout.
During the ANC annual January 8 celebration in Diamond Pavilion Mall in Kimberley, Mabuza addressed questions that seek to know the president’s take on the latest load shedding.
“They have misled the president, but right from the day we went there with the president I insisted on maintenance. Maintenance of these power stations is very important,” Mabuza said.

While reacting to journalists who sought an answer on if Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan and the Eskom board actually misled the president.
He said, ”the Eskom board had been struggling to get things right”, which in his words was the added challenge of running the organization without a committed chief executive at one stage.
