Limpopo police have opened an investigation after a woman’s decomposing body was discovered at an abandoned house in Mokomene, Ga-Thoka village, which falls within the Botlokwa policing precinct.
Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, a provincial police spokesperson, said the woman’s lifeless body was discovered on Monday morning. The reason for the “gruesome act” has yet to be determined.

“Police received a complaint about the lifeless body of a woman at an abandoned house and rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the body of the woman in an advanced state of decomposition,” said Ledwaba.

“The deceased’s identity will be released in due course, as the investigation is still in its preliminary stages.”
Ledwaba urged anyone with information that could help the investigations to call the Crime Stop number at 086-001-0111, their local police station, or the My SAPS App.
The police inquiry is still ongoing.
