The quick thinking and alertness of members of the Pofadder SAPS (South African Police Service) led to the swift recovery of a stolen ambulance minutes after it was allegedly taken from the premises of a hospital in Pofadder.
The incident occurred on 24th February 2024 at approximately 18:00.
According to reports, the ambulance had been parked in front of the hospital when it was stolen. Fortunately, the police were able to locate and recover the ambulance on the N14, near the Gamsberg Mine, between Pofadder and Aggenys, just minutes after it had been taken.

The two suspects involved in the theft are a 23-year-old and a 28-year-old. They were apprehended by the Pofadder SAPS and have been arrested for the theft of a motor vehicle. The suspects are expected to appear in the Pofadder Magistrates Court in the near future.
