According to North West NPA spokesperson Henry Mamothame, the state may add additional charges as the matter progresses to a higher court.
The charges against Sepale stem from a police report that indicated the Klerksdorp Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offenses (FCS) Unit was investigating a case of crimen injuria as well as two separate counts of statutory rape reported at the Kanana police station.
In one of the cases, it is alleged that the ANC Councillor shared nude pictures with the complainant.
In the second and separate case, involving the same suspect, two counts of statutory rape were laid by the parents of two boys aged 15 and 17 on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
