Lereece Roy, the 6-year-old girl who went missing in Ennerdale over the weekend, has been safely reunited with her family. The incident sparked a frantic search effort after a call from Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader Gayton McKenzie.
On Saturday, 23rd March, the community rallied together in large numbers to search for the little girl. Lereece had been missing for approximately 5 hours before she was found in the garden of her grandparents’ home, where she was allegedly taken from.

Members of the PA, who actively participated in the search, discovered Lereece Roy in the hedging of her grandparents’ yard, with leaves stuffed in her ears. Interestingly, the area where she was found had been searched just a few hours prior, and there were no signs of her presence.
It is suspected that the person who took Lereece became alarmed by the large number of people searching for her and subsequently became scared. This may have led to the decision to dump Lereece under the hedge, where she was found asleep.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the Roy family has expressed their gratitude to the community and external individuals who responded to the call and came to Ennerdale to assist in finding Lereece.
Following her reunion with her mother, Lereece was taken to the doctor for a medical checkup. No further information has been released at this time.
