
In a tragic incident at the renowned Kruger National Park, a 26-year-old man lost his life when he drowned in a swimming pool. The incident occurred as the man, Aldimiro Ismail Cossa from Mozambique, sought relief from the scorching temperatures that have been affecting the region.
According to the Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brig Selvy Mohlala, Cossa was working for a contractor in the Skukuza section of the park. After a long day’s work, he decided to cool off in the staff swimming pool.

It was shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday when tragedy struck. Cossa jumped into the deep end of the pool and tragically drowned. Security personnel were alerted and promptly arrived at the scene to retrieve his lifeless body. A medical practitioner who was present at the scene certified his death.

The police have stated that no foul play is suspected in this unfortunate incident. It appears to be a tragic accident, highlighting the importance of water safety and caution, even in seemingly harmless environments such as swimming pools.
