Two suspects allegedly involved in a gruesome case appeared in the Witbank Magistrates Court on Tuesday. The incident involved the brutal hacking off of the hands of 30-year-old Dumisani Mahlangu.
The suspects made a brief appearance on Tuesday, April 30 and will remain in custody until their formal bail application hearing on Tuesday, April 9. They are facing charges of attempted murder and kidnapping after allegedly kidnapping Mahlangu while he was walking along Kromdraai Road.
According to reports, the suspects accused Mahlangu of stealing a battery. After hours of interrogating him, they allegedly drove him into the bushes and severed off his hands with a panga. The horrifying incident occurred on Wednesday, March 20.
