Children in Durban made a distressing discovery while playing near a bush in Inanda. They discovered what seems to be the skeletal remains of a baby.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was contacted for assistance after the children’s parents reported the discovery.
SurgeZirc SA gathered that, on Wednesday afternoon, officers from RUSA promptly responded to the scene.
They had to travel down a dirt path to reach the remains, which were located in a bush as indicated by the children.
In addition to the skull, a packet containing what is believed to be human bones was also found.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) took over the investigation of the matter from RUSA.
