A crash occurred on the N12 and R555 in Mpumalanga, involving multiple vehicles, including a fuel tanker, due to heavy morning mist.
Moeti Mmusi, the spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, stated that the road is currently closed due to the poor visibility.
Traffic officers have been deployed to redirect vehicles to alternative routes, specifically the N4 for both the N12 and R555.
Motorists are advised to switch on their headlights, maintain a safe distance, and reduce speed in misty conditions.
The mist is expected to clear soon, but there may be a delay of around 30 to 45 minutes due to traffic congestion.
