The Police in Mokopane have successfully apprehended a 33-year-old male suspect believed to be involved in a string of business and house robberies, including post office thefts, that have occurred throughout the year.
The arrest was made during an intelligence-driven operation conducted on Friday, 22 December 2023.
Members of the SAPS Mokopane and the Trio Task Team acted swiftly on received information, leading them to locate and apprehend the suspect in Seshego.
It has been reported that the suspect had been evading arrest while his three accomplices were previously taken into custody at the start of the festive season for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
The arrested suspect will now join his accomplices in custody and will face charges related to all twenty robbery cases. These cases include the post office robberies in Mokopane, as well as other business and house robberies committed in Polokwane throughout 2023.

The suspect is scheduled to appear before the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 27 December 2023, where the charges against him will be formally presented.
