In a shocking revelation, television actress and singer Letoya Makhene has been accused of physically assaulting her spouse, Lebohang Pulumo Keswa, on multiple occasions.
According to Keswa, Makhene allegedly scalded her with boiling water, bludgeoned her with an ironing board, and threw a vase at her. These incidents reportedly occurred over the past three years, leaving a trail of destruction in their Randfontein marital home.

The drama doesn’t end with physical violence. Keswa also claims that Makhene engaged in infidelity, sleeping with a married Nigerian drug dealer in exchange for drugs.
If that wasn’t enough, Keswa further alleges that Makhene cheated on her with a lesbian. The details of these affairs were laid bare in a heartfelt letter Keswa wrote to Makhene’s family, explaining her decision to end their tumultuous marriage.
In addition to the physical and emotional abuse, Keswa disclosed that she was deceived about Makhene’s qualifications as a sangoma (traditional healer).
Keswa claims that she paid lobola (bride price) for Makhene, her mother, her children, and even her ancestors, only to later find out that Makhene had not completed her initiation. This revelation has left Keswa in financial ruin, adding another layer of distress to an already chaotic relationship.
After much introspection and consultation with her family, Keswa has decided to dissolve the marriage. Makhene has also acknowledged the irreparable damage done to their relationship and agrees that it is best for both parties to part ways.
With both sides accepting the end of their matrimony, the focus now shifts to how they will navigate their futures separately.
It’s a tale straight out of a soap opera, but for Keswa and Makhene, this was real life. As the dust settles, one can only hope that both individuals find the peace and healing they desperately need.
