Delivery Biker Killed In Collision With Truck At Busy Wadeville Intersection

A delivery biker was tragically killed on Tuesday, May 20, following a collision with a truck at the intersection of Osborne and Nagington roads in Wadeville, Ekurhuleni.
Emergency services from the Wadeville Fire Station rushed to the scene at around 14:38, responding to distress calls from witnesses.

On arrival, first responders found a man believed to be in his early thirties lying face down with severe head injuries.

Paramedics Unable to Save Victim (Delivery Biker)

Despite the swift arrival of emergency crews and intensive medical intervention, the biker showed no signs of life and was declared dead at the scene.

The truck driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, escaped unharmed, authorities confirmed.

Traffic in the area was temporarily closed to allow emergency personnel to secure the scene and manage traffic as investigators began piecing together what led to the tragic crash.

EMPD Launches Investigation into Deadly Crash

The Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) has launched a full investigation into the incident. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the collision and whether any negligence or road violations played a role.

Motorists were urged to exercise caution when navigating intersections and to remain aware of delivery bikes that frequent busy roads for urgent service deliveries.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending family notification.
