Former Kaizer Chiefs captain, Lucas Radebe, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the appointment of Molefi Ntseki as the club’s new head coach.
In a recent announcement, the team revealed a restructuring of their technical team, with Ntseki taking charge and Arthur Zwane assuming the role of assistant coach alongside Dillon Sheppard.

However, the decision has faced considerable criticism, and Lucas Radebe, an iconic figure in the club’s history, has shared his perspective on the recent developments at Amakhosi.
Radebe believes that Kaizer Chiefs could have aimed higher in their selection of a head coach. While he acknowledges that Ntseki possesses certain qualities, he does not consider him proven or experienced enough to lead a prestigious club like Kaizer Chiefs.
Lucas Radebe conveyed his thoughts to the media, stating;
“I thought we would secure someone more capable, not that Ntseki is inadequate, but I question whether he has demonstrated the caliber required to coach a top club like Kaizer Chiefs.”
Expressing his concerns further, Lucas Radebe added, “In my view, it seems like an incompatible pairing. However, I could be mistaken, as Ntseki might guide Kaizer Chiefs to unprecedented success this season. Yet, we must await the outcome to determine that.”
Currently 54 years old, Lucas Radebe made a significant impact during his tenure at Amakhosi in the early 90s, featuring in over 100 games. He subsequently ventured abroad to Leeds United in England, where he not only captained the team but also attained a revered status as a cult hero.

In contrast, Ntseki, who also stands at 54 years of age, assumes a demanding role as the head coach of Kaizer Chiefs, with minimal experience in managing a top-tier club.
Prior to his appointment as the head of Technical and Development at Chiefs in 2021, the coach, born in Botshabelo, had previously held positions as the head coach of the national under-17 team and Bafana Bafana.
