Netflix has just given us a sneak peek at their upcoming homegrown romantic comedy film, “A Soweto Love Story,” set to release on 14 February. And let me tell you, this film is not your typical rom-com.
The story revolves around Bongekile, played by the talented Duduzile Ngcobo, who dreams of finding a makoti to bring love and companionship into her all-boys household.

But here’s the twist: the Ngubeni matriarch challenges her three unmarried sons to get married by the New Year if they want to inherit the family home.
Cue the competition! Lunga Shabalala, Sparky Xulu, and Ray Neo Buso portray the brothers who must navigate the unpredictable landscape of mjolofontein (that’s a mouthful!) as they race against time to find brides.
“When her three grown sons show no signs of settling down and starting their own families, a mother uses the coveted family home to entice them into doing the right thing – the first to get married before the New Year wins the home,” reads the synopsis of the film.
Get ready for a series of humorous events as the brothers go to great lengths to find their perfect matches. Will they succeed? Well, you’ll have to watch the film to find out!
With its unique premise and talented cast, “A Soweto Love Story” promises to be a refreshing addition to the rom-com genre. So mark your calendars for 14 February and get ready to fall in love with this delightful film.
