The singer emphasised the importance of “staying away from the noise” to ensure she remains mentally sound.

The trial has undoubtedly imposed an emotional burden on Khumalo, repeatedly dragging her through the painful memories of the tragic event.

According to her, the relentless media coverage and public scrutiny have only amplified these challenges, making it increasingly difficult for her to heal.

In her interview, Khumalo highlighted that revisiting the traumatic incident each time the trial is discussed has been particularly taxing on her mental well-being.

“For me to keep sane, and for me to remain in place of faith and trusting God. I have to stay away from the noise and wait for God to prevail,” she said.

“It becomes a reminder of something that didn’t sit right with you at all. When you think it’s over, it starts over, so you must stay away for your mental health and wait for God’s time. God is not a man that he should lie, so you remain and hold on to that and trust the process.”

The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has seen substantial developments in recent months, capturing significant media attention due to its high-profile nature and the involvement of public figures.

One of the most striking revelations came from Brigadier Bongani Gininda, the lead investigator in the case, who implicated Kelly Khumalo in the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.

According to Gininda, information was uncovered suggesting that Kelly Khumalo allegedly gave instructions to have Senzo killed. This allegation has caused a major uproar, casting a shadow over Kelly’s public image and stirring widespread debate.

In the midst of these accusations, Advocate Thulani Mngomezulu has come forward with claims suggesting that the evidence against Kelly Khumalo might have been fabricated.

Mngomezulu argues that the real shooter was not Kelly but rather someone else involved in the incident. According to his statement, the actual shooter was killed during an argument that allegedly involved Longwe Twala and Zandile Khumalo.

This counter-narrative further complicates the already intricate web of allegations and defenses, as it introduces another layer of complexity to the ongoing legal battle.
