Tragic Fire Claims Three Lives At Garden Route National Park

In a tragic turn of events, three individuals have lost their lives following a fire in a chalet at the Tree Top Chalet in the Knysna section of the Garden Route National Park. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning.
South African National Parks (SANParks) spokesperson JP Louw confirmed that the affected chalet was completely gutted by the fire.

The South African Police Services (SAPS) are currently investigating the matter to determine the cause of the fire and officially identify the victims.
Louw emphasized the importance of allowing the official processes to conclude, stating, “SANParks appeal for sensitivity to allow for official police processes to conclude and for the affected families to have the opportunity to attend to what is a most challenging experience.”
The Garden Route community and SANParks are rallying together to support the families of the victims during this difficult time. As the investigation continues, the community must remain patient and respectful of the process.
The tragic event serves as a sombre reminder of the unpredictable nature of life and the importance of community solidarity in the face of adversity.
