“Too Scared To Leave” Umkhokha’s Sinokuhle Ngubeni Reveals Horrifically Abusive Relationship

In a candid revelation, ‘Umkhokha: The Curse’ actress Sinokuhle Ngubeni, known for her role as Sibahle, has come forward to clear the air about her previous relationship.
The actress was formerly in a same-sex relationship with traditional healer Lungile Ndaba. The relationship was fraught with challenges, leading to a breakup two months ago after a two-year-long rollercoaster.
Ngubeni and Ndaba got engaged a year into their relationship, but no lobola was paid, and they were not legally married.
Ngubeni shared, “Our relationship has never been perfect. In fact, it was far from it, and we never worked through anything we faced. We just pushed it to the side and carried on as if nothing ever happened.”
She added that their public facade of a perfect couple was exhausting given the many tears and struggles behind closed doors.
The actress bravely narrated her experiences of abuse during the relationship. She admitted to being scared to leave as Ndaba would take one-sided videos of her in a demeaning state.
Ngubeni shared that both of them inflicted physical scars on each other, with her shoulder and back bearing the marks of their tumult.

Addressing the swirling rumours, Ngubeni clarified, “Now the rumours are both true and kind of not. I was never a lesbian; however, I was bisexual, and she knew that. Before her, I was dating a man, and my current man’s surname is Ndovu. It is not the one you think.”
She took responsibility for not clearing the rumours involving her colleague Kini Shandu and his wife, who were mistakenly dragged into the situation due to surname similarities.
Ngubeni expressed her regret and emphasized her desire for privacy, stating, “I won’t be bullied into revealing who he is or what his name is, as I would like my relationship to stay as private as it is.”
