Three Arrested For Allegedly Marrying Off SA Women To Undocumented Foreigners

KwaZulu-Natal police uncovered premises in Greyville, Durban, that were used to marry South Africans to undocumented foreigners and to create fake visas.

The police searched the area on Monday afternoon after uncovering the syndicate. Upon their arrival, officers reported finding one of the occupants destroying documents.

“Most of them are not even in the country so that they could arrange spousal visa for them, so we used our Intelligence and found offices and arrested three of them,” police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.

Netshiunda reported that officers discovered a lot of machinery used in the fraudulent activities.

“We found photocopies and lots of documents and applications, lots of things that they use to communicate with Home Affairs.”
