
DirecTV customers can now watch Ted Lasso without purchasing additional devices. The television provider said today that the Apple TV+ app is now available for download on its DirecTV Stream box.

This is the first time Apple’s streaming network has been made available to DirecTV Stream subscribers, a versatile gadget that supports live TV, streaming apps, on-demand video, and DVR recordings.
The device was introduced by the satellite operator in 2020; consumers can rent it for $20 per month and it is included with select premium plans. It also has a remote control with Google Assistant access.
The Apple TV+ app will contain original content from Apple, such as Ted Lasso, Severance, and CODA, as well as access to Apple’s larger collection of rentals and purchases for television series and movie rentals.
It also offers in-app compatibility for premium add-ons like AMC+, Paramount+, and Starz.

Other streaming devices that support the app include PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles, Roku, Fire TV, Google TV, and smart TVs from Samsung, LG, and others.
