![Tesla Will Outfit Model S And X With Longer-Range Cars - Surge Zirc SA](https://surgezirc.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Cars-300x171.jpg)
Tesla’s Model S and X cars sale dropped seriously at the beginning of 2019, but we’re hoping the producers would have a better way of keeping their customers by giving them the exact range they need. Electrek cars sources said Tesla is currently considering changing its older Electric cars with new cars based on the same permanent magnet reluctance technology that’s in the recent Model 3.
Meanwhile, the exact specs are not available right now, but the greater efficiency of PMR 97 percent versus 93 percent for the current AC induction motors would most likely wring out some extra range without obvious compromises to the architecture.

There is actually no fixed time when these cars that have been nicknamed Raven, would hit shipping vehicles. We only hear the cars would arrive pretty soon alongside new upgrades to improve the charging system.
If what we heard is true, it would represent a logical step for the car brand (Tesla). No doubt, longer range is a big selling point, and could help Tesla fend off competing Electric vehicles from key competitors like Audi and Mercedes. Meanwhile, Fast charging is very much necessary if Tesla intend making most of its third-generation Superchargers a high selling point.
We aren’t yet sure what the price would be following the PMR. We are only believing it would be affordable enough to sit in the Model 3. It hasn’t been used in Tesla’s highest-performing vehicles yet.
