Sports minister Zizi Kodwa dissolved the organization’s board, replacing it with a new one that includes former PSL spokesperson Luxolo September, broadcaster Romy Titus, Nande Mpshe, Princess Nongoma, and Mary Sitata. Sakhiwe Sodo is the only member of the old board who retained their position.

Minister Kodwa explained that the decision to appoint a younger board was made to align with the changing demographics of South Africa. He emphasized the importance of addressing the current challenges faced by Boxing South Africa.

However, the new board has been unable to commence their duties due to legal action taken by the National Professional Boxing Promoters Association. The association claims that they were not consulted in the appointment process and has taken the matter to court.

The tragic shooting of CFO Kenneth Mamosadi adds to the already tumultuous state of affairs within Boxing South Africa. As investigations continue, the boxing community mourns the loss of a dedicated professional and awaits further developments in the ongoing turmoil.
