South Africa’s national football team coach for the Cosafa Cup, Morena Ramoreboli, has revealed the 23 players selected for the upcoming tournament.
Initially, Ramoreboli had chosen a preliminary squad of 47 players, but he has now made the final cuts ahead of the tournament, which commences next week.

The Cosafa Cup will once again take place in Durban, with Bafana Bafana starting their campaign against Namibia on Wednesday. Eswatini and Botswana complete the other teams in Group A.
Having previously won this competition, Ramoreboli expressed his optimism about Bafana Bafana’s chances this year. He emphasized the excellent preparations and the quality of players in the squad, highlighting their commitment and hunger to represent their nation.

Goalkeepers: Olwethu Mzimela, Jethren Barr, Khanya Mini.
Defenders: Keegan Allan, Bonginkosi Makume, Katlego Mohamme, Lyle Lakay.
Midfielders: Thabo Cele, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Lesego Sebetlela, Lesedi Kapinga, Luvuyo Phewa, Shaune Mogaila, Mogamat May.
