“And also conceding goals we shouldn’t have, sometimes sloppy defending let us down but when you look at the games this season (year) we were just unfortunate not to win most of them, even that game against Sundowns."

Kaizer Chiefs boss Arthur Zwane has hailed the club’s new signee Christian Saile Basomboli who shares the club’s victory on his first-day play.

Saile moved from the bench in Kaizer Chiefs’ 2-0 win over Royal AM in Polokwane as proof that the club is better positioned for winning now.

While in the field, Saile’s performance was good enough to impress his new coach after replacing Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana ten minutes into the second half.

Speaking to SuperSport after the match, Zwane said, “Ja, look he gave us the extra oomph we were looking for.”

Speaking on what type of football should be expected of Chiefs, Zwayne said his side needs to be a little bit more aggressive going forward. Take a read of how he puts it.

“We were so much aggressive, we gave them no space, we were pressing them, we knew that we’ll win that midfield battle, we just needed to be a little bit aggressive going forward,” he said.

“When he came on he gave us that, that’s why we managed to score the second goal,” he said while adding that the win takes no pressure off him because expectations are always high at Kaizer Chiefs.

Zwayne went on to explain more about Kaizer Chiefs’ performance so far, “… I’ve always said I didn’t come to this game as a coach under pressure and all that, because I know that we’ve been doing well to be quite honest and we’ve just been not scoring goals,” he went on.

“And also conceding goals we shouldn’t have, sometimes sloppy defending let us down but when you look at the games this season (year) we were just unfortunate not to win most of them, even that game against Sundowns.

“But I’m happy for the boys more than me, don’t worry about me, I’ve always been in this game, as long as we do the job, we know what’s the plan, it’s about that, it’s about the future of this club,” the Kaizer Chiefs boss added.
