Former Bafana Bafana coach, Stanley ‘Screamer’ Tshabalala, is currently recovering after being shot by burglars at his home on Wednesday.
The incident was confirmed in a statement released by family spokesperson, Thato Matuka, through his company Brand Arc, on Thursday afternoon. Matuka also mentioned that the matter is now under investigation by the police.
The unfortunate incident took place at Tshabalala’s residence at midday on Wednesday, March 20. The matter has been reported to the South African Police Service (SAPS) and is currently being handled by them.
In the statement, the family expressed their gratitude for the public’s messages of support during this difficult time. They also thanked the SAPS and their neighbors for their swift response to the incident. However, the family has requested privacy while Tshabalala recovers from the ordeal.
