Shauwn Mkhize, or as we all know her, MaMkhize, has taken to pen and paper to address the swirling rumours surrounding her beloved football club, Royal AM.
In an open letter to the club’s supporters, she firmly stated that Royal AM is not for sale, putting an end to the speculations about the club’s financial troubles.

MaMkhize expressed her gratitude to the loyal Royal AM supporters across all seven municipalities, acknowledging their unwavering support since 2020.
She recognized that this season has presented its fair share of challenges but remains optimistic that with the fans’ continuous support, both on and off the field, the club will overcome and improve.
As a proud black woman from Umbumbulu, MaMkhize feels privileged to lead the inspirational journey of Royal AM alongside the Chairman, the team management, coaching staff, players, and all supporting staff.
She emphasised the club’s commitment to local development and their aim to positively impact the lives of every citizen in their new home.
Addressing the rumours that have been circulating on social media, MaMkhize made it crystal clear: Royal AM is not up for sale.
The club has made a commitment to the people of Pietermaritzburg through their partnership with Msunduzi Municipality, and they intend to honour that commitment. Royal AM is here to stay and prosper.
