Shack Fires Claim Two Lives In Johannesburg

Over the weekend, two tragic shack fires in Johannesburg resulted in the loss of two lives. These incidents have once again highlighted the dangers associated with the use of heating devices during the winter months.

A 16-year-old girl from Orlando East and a 34-year-old man from Orange Farm succumbed to their injuries in separate incidents. The causes of these fires remain unknown, according to Johannesburg Emergency Services spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi.

The first incident involved a 16-year-old girl from Orlando East, who tragically lost her life when a fire tore through her home. In a separate incident, a 34-year-old man from Orange Farm also died from injuries sustained in a similar shack fire.
