Ramaphosa Says GNU Agrees To Uphold The Rule Of Law

President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the Government of National Unity (GNU) has pledged to uphold the rule of law and protect the independence of key institutions, including the freedom of the media.

This declaration was made during his response to the joint debate on his opening of Parliament address earlier today.

President Ramaphosa emphasized the importance of entrenching constitutional democracy and the rule of law. He stated, “As part of the government of national unity, we agree on the importance of entrenching our constitutional democracy and the rule of law.”
