Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the provincial commissioner of police in Limpopo, has issued a stern condemnation of the recent violent acts that have shocked the community.

On a Sunday afternoon in Juju Valley, within the Seshego policing area, a violent confrontation transpired amid political party campaigns, prompting the Limpopo police to launch an investigation into cases of attempted murder.

The clash arose between rival political factions, culminating in gunfire that left two individuals wounded, including a nine-year-old minor.

Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, spokesperson for the Limpopo police, confirmed the rapid response of both the police and emergency medical services to the chaotic scene.

The police and medical teams acted swiftly, providing necessary aid to the injured minor. Concurrently, they commenced an exhaustive investigation into the incident.

It was subsequently ascertained that a 25-year-old man had also sustained gunshot injuries during the altercation.

Brigadier Mashaba noted that the violence did not end there; several other individuals received injuries from being struck by stones, with numerous shots fired amidst the turmoil.
