The Umkhonto WeSizwe (MK) party has declared its readiness to present evidence of alleged vote rigging that took place in the recent 2024 general elections.
Although the party has thus far only provided claims of irregularities without supporting proof, it now plans to bring its case to the constitutional court.

On Monday, the MK party released a statement outlining its intention to file an application to the constitutional court.
The aim is to interdict the first sitting of parliament based on what the party describes as ‘wide-ranging irregularities’ during the elections.
MK party spokesperson, Nhlamulo Ndhela, elaborated on the party’s efforts to gather evidence, stating, ‘Our lawyers have been hard at work since last week gathering evidence, not only on our end but also on other political parties.
These papers will also come in the form of evidence and will be presented to the constitutional court. We are filing directly to the constitutional court to raise these concerns.’
