Malema Praises Ndlozi As Near-perfect Man, Compared To Lesufi

Mashatile highlighted that ANC members recommended for government positions must go through the same application and interview process as any other candidate. The ANC also places importance on qualifications and vetting to ensure the best individuals are selected for the job.

Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), recently shared a lighthearted moment with KAYA FM host Phemelo Motene.

During the conversation, Malema praised fellow fighter Mbuyiseni Ndlozi while also throwing some shade at him. Malema’s remarks shed light on the EFF’s stance on coalition governments and their perspective on cadre deployment within the African National Congress (ANC).

While the EFF hopes for a majority win in elections, Malema acknowledged that a coalition government could be a viable second option for the party.

He emphasised the need to navigate coalition politics based on principles and the leadership qualities brought to the table. Malema then proceeded to praise Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, highlighting his qualities as a nearly perfect man when compared to Gauteng premier Panyaza Lesufi.

According to Malema, Ndlozi possesses a unique combination of intelligence, good looks (as claimed by the ladies), humility, and a melodious singing voice. Malema expressed his admiration for Ndlozi, stating that he has never seen such a remarkable combination of attributes in one person.

However, Malema humorously pointed out that Ndlozi’s height might be a factor that some people might consider when making a judgement.

The conversation also touched upon the topic of cadre deployment, which has been a contentious issue within the ANC. While the policy itself is not seen as problematic by Malema, he criticized the ANC’s implementation of cadre deployment.

Malema argued that the ANC’s approach focuses on slogans and vocal support rather than considering qualifications and merit. He emphasised the importance of competency and fair competition when deploying cadres.

Deputy President Paul Mashatile, on the other hand, defended the ANC’s cadre deployment policy in parliament. He stated that the process is transparent and involves a rigorous selection procedure.

Mashatile highlighted that ANC members recommended for government positions must go through the same application and interview process as any other candidate. The ANC also places importance on qualifications and vetting to ensure the best individuals are selected for the job.

Mashatile further emphasised that cadre development policy is essential for preparing individuals for the challenges of public service. The ANC invests in training and education through institutions like the OR Tambo Leadership Academy to ensure that their members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

In conclusion, Julius Malema’s praise for Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and his critique of cadre deployment shed light on the EFF’s perspective on coalition governments and the ANC’s policies.

While Malema commended Ndlozi’s qualities, he also highlighted the need for fair competition and merit-based deployment. The conversation reflects the EFF’s commitment to principles and effective leadership in navigating the political landscape.
