The Johannesburg Metro Police (JMPD) has issued a warning about road closures due to a carnival march organized by the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in celebration of their 10th anniversary.
The march is scheduled for Saturday and will commence at the Alexandra Stadium, proceeding towards Mushroom Park in Sandton.

The carnival procession is expected to reach Sandton at 4 pm, where the main celebrations will be held.
According to Xolani Fihla, the spokesperson for JMPD, participants will gather on 12th Avenue in Alexandra at 10 am.
To facilitate the procession, road closures will be in effect at various locations: Pan Africa Mall in Alexandra will be closed from 5 am until the procession reaches Watt Street and Second Avenue, Watt Street and Third Avenue, and Watt Street and Pretoria Main Road.
Additionally, road closures will be in place at Alexandra Stadium from 5 am until 10 am, affecting both sides of 12th Avenue and Reverend Sam Buti Street.

JMPD officers will be deployed to supervise the march and the affected routes.
Motorists are advised to exercise patience as the procession passes through the mentioned routes and, if possible, use alternative routes to avoid delays.
