Jacob Zuma, former President of South Africa, has been officially expelled from the African National Congress (ANC).
This decision follows a disciplinary hearing where Zuma was found guilty of prejudicing the integrity of the organization by forming the MK party, a rival faction to the ANC.
The disciplinary hearing for Jacob Zuma was held last week. During this session, it was established that Zuma’s actions were in direct violation of the ANC’s principles and constitution.

The formation of the MK party was seen as an attempt to undermine the ANC’s unity and integrity. The ANC has stated that Zuma has the right to appeal this ruling within a period of 21 days, providing him with a window to contest the decision.
ANC veteran Tony Yengeni, who represented Zuma at the disciplinary committee hearing, has voiced his opinion on the matter.
Yengeni emphasized the importance of adhering to the proper ANC processes before making any definitive statements about Zuma’s alleged violations of the ANC constitution. He advocates for a thorough and fair assessment to ensure that the decision reflects the true spirit of the ANC’s values and regulations.
