King Charles III’s coronation has been the talk of the town for weeks, and now that it’s actually happened, there’s, even more, to talk about the British royal family.
From the charming Prince Louis, the youngest of William and Kate’s children, yawning during the ceremony to the extremely happy moment South African soprano Pretty Yende sang her heart out, the ceremony had it all.

Most notably, there has been much debate over the day’s fashion choices, such as Princess of Wales Kate Middleton’s choice of headgear.
Normally, the ladies of the royal family would be seen wearing bejewelled tiaras that would make any wannabe princess’ heart skip a beat.
Instead, Kate chose to leave the tiara at home and wear a flower headpiece resembling a flower crown designed and made by Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen. It was embellished with sequins and metallic beading.

While Kate Middleton has not remarked on why she chose this particular headpiece, many have guessed that it was to reflect the low-key nature of the ceremony.
The remainder of the senior royals followed suit, with only King Charles III and Queen Camilla wearing extravagant caps.
