Police in Zengeza, Zimbabwe, recently freed an unkempt man who was allegedly living in his mother’s ceiling for 14 years.

According to reports that the 39-year-old Grant was found when police arrived to remove his father’s decaying body, which had been kept inside the house for days.

According to the local newspaper, Grant’s mother is Gogo Mahlahla, and she told police about her husband’s passing only after his body had begun to decompose.

She had been staying with Grant and her wheelchair-bound husband. Grant’s father was last seen five years ago, according to neighbours who spoke with H-Metro.

Gogo Mahlahla told the publication that she became a member of a church after realising that her family was being haunted by evil spirits.

She asserted that she had discovered Grant was possessed.

In the video shared on Twitter, Grant is handcuffed and seated in the back of a van with a large crowd all around him.

He appears unkempt and bewildered. His hair, beard, and nails have all significantly grown.

His mother is taken into custody by police as he is in the van, and the crowd cheering as they drag her from the yard.

Gogo Mahlahla resisted explaining to H-Metro why she had spent days with a corpse.
