A 29-year-old woman has been apprehended by Bolobedu police for the alleged fatal stabbing of her 34-year-old boyfriend, Tumelu Makwala. The incident occurred at Makwala’s residence in the Sehlakong section of Mabosana village on Friday, March 29, 2024, around 20:00.
According to police reports, a heated argument between the suspect and her boyfriend escalated, resulting in a violent confrontation.

The suspect, armed with a knife, allegedly inflicted fatal wounds on Makwala. His mother was alerted to the situation and rushed to his aid. Tragically, she found him bleeding in his bedroom, and emergency personnel pronounced him deceased upon their arrival.
The police swiftly opened a murder case, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspect. She now faces charges related to the tragic loss of life. The Bolobedu community is reeling from the shock of this senseless act of violence.

Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, the Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, expressed strong condemnation for the incident.
